AUKRA Boat Landing System
Even in open seas with high waves, the crew is secured in what is called the “Boat Landing System”. In June, the system was tested by the crew of an Olympic offshore wind vessel that was completed at Ulstein Verft in spring 2024. The system is approved in accordance with “DNV-ST-0358 Offshore Gangways”, according to a new set of regulations from DNV.
– We had a test voyage where a lot of equipment was tested on the new vessel. The Boat Landing System from Aukra Maritime worked as planned and we are very satisfied, says Olympic’s director of operations, Marius Skeide Bergseth.
Unique concept
– This is a unique concept that reduces the risk for crews when they move from one boat to another, in open waters. The system is optimally space-saving on board.

We have worked closely with both Ulstein and Olympic in the details of this new Boat Landing System. Now we are very eager to start work on making our new Boat Landing System well-known throughout the shipping industry nationally and internationally, says Per Arne Rindarøy, CEO of Aukra Maritime.
